In 2014, the median lifetime for a passenger car or light truck was about 15-16 years. The delivery of the ELV to a dismantling site initiates this study’s process. Once at the dismantler’s site any fluids (i.e. oils, lubricants, washing fluids) are drained and valuable and hazardous components are separated and distributed to the appropriate channel.
